Tandlægerne Nord-Smil is a dental chain that operates clinics in six cities across Denmark, including Aalborg, Herning, Randers, Aarhus, Odense, and Copenhagen. The chain is founded by four dentists who had the opportunity to get to know each other during their time studying at the renowned Dental School in Aarhus. Following their studies, they further honed their skills and gained valuable experience by working at various reputable dental clinics across the country.

More time (at no extra cost)
If you inform us about your fear of the dentist when booking an appointment , we can set aside extra time so that there is an opportunity to create a bond of trust between you and the dentist, as well as treatment without time pressure.
Local anesthesia
We offer painless treatment with local anaesthetic. Before the local anaesthetic, a surface anesthetic can be applied to the mucous membrane to reduce the discomfort as much as possible.
Premedication
With more severe degrees of dental anxiety, you can approx. 1 hour before treatment, get some sedative medicine from your own doctor. This will make you relax and thereby be able to complete dental treatment with significantly reduced discomfort.
Sedation
For severe degrees of fear of the dentist, sedation or full anesthesia can be used in collaboration with a skilled specialist in anaesthesia.
During sedation, you receive a combination of sedative and pain-relieving medication, after which a local anesthetic is given. During sedation, you are semi-awake during treatment, and you can breathe yourself and follow instructions to open your mouth. The advantage of sedation over full anesthesia is that it puts less strain on the body, and you can go home immediately after treatment.
Full Anesthesia
With full anesthesia, you receive the anesthetics through a needle, which is placed in the hand as in the hospital. Under general anaesthesia, you will be asleep and you will not feel anything during the treatment. During the entire course, you will be under the observation of an anesthetist and a nurse anesthetist.
